30 Weeks.

With life seeming quite full these days, it's hard to believe we're over 3/4 of the way through pregnancy. It's still progressing quite uneventfully, for which I am extremely thankful. My doctor's appointment this week confirmed that I'm on target with tummy size and weight gain for where I'm at, and so it's good to know that even though I haven't been super diligent with my diet - that the baby is still growing and gaining weight. Ken was able to note some of the wrestling-like moves that our baby makes this morning as we waited for our alarms to go off before getting up. It's nice that he can 'experience' a bit of pregnancy now that the baby is constantly on the go. There are times I'm convinced it would jump out of my stomach if the option presented itself!

This week has been full, with many details of our house discussed and pondered. We've chosen colors (all by ourselves, which in itself is quite an accomplishment) and are in the process of picking a kitchen. We stopped by yesterday to take some measurements, and were told by the current homeowner to give our child a "good Christian name". He advised against anything too "crazy", like Sly. Apparently we have to strike that one off our list.

This weekend promises to be a full one. Tomorrow we begin day 1 of prenatal classes. Luckily there's only 2 days, though both are 9-4. After learning all sorts of exciting things there we are headed out to Winkler for a friend's wedding, and then spending Saturday night in Rosenort so we can zip off to Grand Forks on Sunday to do some shopping. We realized the stroller we're looking for is a whopping $126 cheaper in the States (before tax and duty), and figure there are other bargains to be had. So, in light of our lack of White Stripes concert, we figured a day trip is a worthwhile venture. Maybe we'll get lucky with some other good finds too. It will probably be one of our last 'spontaneous' trips, and I look forward to enjoying Ken's company even if we come home without lots to show. Maybe we'll get crazy and even bring our camera along this weekend...look for a pictorial update to come!

Hope you guys had a great weekend. Missed you guys both on Friday and Saturday.
Don't you just love how people who don't even know you feel that they can give you advice? It always amazes me. Although I have to agree that Sly is not the greatest name for a baby. Hope you have a wonderful week my dear!
